How do I purchase tickets?

You can purchase tickets online via our website at www.goldenpawslottery.com.au, or by calling our friendly team on 1800 059 077 (Mon–Fri 10:00am–7:00pm AEST).

Are my tickets tax-deductible?

No. Under Australian taxation law, lottery tickets are not tax-deductible because you have a chance to win a prize. If you’d like to make a tax-deductible donation to support Guide Dogs Queensland, you can do so at https://qld.guidedogs.com.au/ (donations more than $2 are tax-deductible).

How are winners notified?

Winners are contacted by email and/or phone using the details supplied at purchase. Results are published online on the Winners page on the day of the draw.

What happens if not all tickets are sold, or an unsold ticket is drawn?

All sold and unsold ticket numbers are entered in each draw. If an unsold ticket number is drawn, we immediately redraw until a sold ticket is selected. All advertised prizes are awarded for every lottery, there are no jackpots or unawarded prizes.

Who is Advance Impact and why are they calling me about the lottery?

We partner with trusted Australian telemarketing agency Surge Calling, trading as Advance Impact, to assist supporters with ticket purchases or promotions. They follow strict privacy protocols. To opt out of calls, tell the representative or email support@goldenpawslottery.com.au.

Do I need an account to buy tickets?

Yes. The first time you buy online, you’ll create a password to set up your account. Next time, simply log in with your email and password, your details will be saved for a quicker checkout.

Where does the money go?

Every ticket purchased helps fund Guide Dogs’ life-changing services like training guide dogs and orientation & mobility programs for people with low vision or blindness. Learn more here.

Can I support Guide Dogs without buying a ticket?

Absolutely. You can donate here or learn about leaving a gift in your Will here.

Can employees or volunteers buy tickets?

Staff and persons directly involved in managing, selling or supervising the lottery (and their immediate family) are not eligible. Volunteers who are not involved in the lottery’s operation may purchase tickets. For clarification, please contact support@goldenpawslottery.com.au.

Who can enter?

Entrants must be 18+. It’s your responsibility to ensure participation is legal in your location.

What’s changed with ticket pricing and bundles for Paw Club members?

We’ve simplified our pricing to $5 per ticket and removed bundles. If you were previously a $20 per month Paw Club member, we’ve automatically updated your entries so your usual spend now means more tickets in the same draw. For example:
Previously: 1 × $20 ticket
Now: 4 × $5 tickets
You don’t need to do anything — your entries will appear the new way in your account and confirmation emails.

How do I create an account?

On the homepage click Login, enter your email, set a password, complete your details and you’re done.

How do I know if I already have an account?

Enter your email at Login. If you already have an account, the site will prompt for your password, otherwise you’ll be guided to create an account.

How do I log in without buying tickets?

Click Login at the top right and enter your email and password.

How do I update my contact details?

Log in to your online account by clicking on Login and entering your email address and password.
Click on My Account at the top right.
Click on My Details under My Settings.
Review your contact details and, if you want to make changes, click on Edit Account Details. To update your name (or if you need help), you can contact our friendly Contact Centre Team on 1800 059 077 (Mon–Sat 8:30am–7:30pm AEST).

How do I update my payment details?

You can email us at support@goldenpawslottery.com.au and we’ll securely sort it out for you. Prefer to do it yourself?

  • Log in to your account
  • Go to My Account (top right)
  • Open Cards & Accounts under My Funds
  • Select Add New Credit or Debit Card and enter your new details

How do I close my account?

If you’re a Paw Club member, please cancel your membership first. To cancel your Paw Club membership and/or close your account, please email our friendly Customer Support team on support@goldenpawslottery.com.au with your request.

How are draws conducted?

Draws are conducted using Draw Master in accordance with relevant permits and regulations.

How many Golden Paws Lottery draws are there each year?

We run 6 main draws annually, plus occasional bonus draws. See the Buy Tickets page for the current open draw.

Where can I see past winners?

Past winners and results are listed on our Winners page.

How will I know if I’ve won?

We’ll contact winners directly by phone and/or email. The 1st Prize winner also receives a phone call on draw day where possible.

Ticket Information

How much are tickets?

Tickets are $5 each. To view ticket options visit the Buy Tickets page.

How do I receive my tickets?

We email tickets to the address used at purchase. If you can’t find them, check Junk/Spam or add goldenpawslottery@guidedogsqld.com.au to your safe senders.

If I buy late on closing day, am I still in the draw?

All valid orders received before the draw close time are included. If a payment arrives after close, tickets will be allocated to the next available draw or refunded on request.

How many tickets are sold per lottery?

The total ticket allocation varies by draw. Please see our Lottery Terms & Conditions for the current draw’s maximum.

Can I choose my ticket numbers?

No. Ticket numbers are automatically allocated by our system.

Prize Information

What is an Early Bird Prize?

A bonus prize available to supporters who purchase by a specified cutoff date. Eligibility and prize details are published on the draw page.

Can I choose my prize?

No. Winners receive the prize(s) specified for that draw’s prize.

How does gold bullion work (where applicable)?

If you win gold bullion, Anslie Bullion will contact you to arrange secure holding, sale, or delivery options. Note: some jurisdictions (e.g., Victoria) require cash prizes to be awarded as gold bullion or a permitted alternative.

Vehicle prizes (where applicable)

Registration and all other on road costs included for all prize vehicles. Delivery timing depends on supplier availability.

Payment & Security

What payment options do you offer?

Online purchases accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. PayPal is available for one-time purchases only; subscriptions require a credit/debit card. Some prepaid cards may be declined by their issuer.

Is my payment secure?

Yes. We use secure, PCI DSS-compliant payment processing. Your card details aren’t stored on our servers; they’re transmitted securely to our banking/payment provider.

Why can’t I use PayPal for my subscription?

PayPal is available for one-time tickets only. Recurring Paw Club payments must use a credit/debit card.

Paw Club Information

What is the Paw Club? What are the benefits?

The Paw Club is our automatic ticket subscription program — set your preferred ticket amount and be entered into every Guide Dogs Golden Paws Lottery draw automatically.
Benefits include:

How do I join?

Online: Visit the website, select “Become a Paw Club member”, select your monthly amount and follow the prompts.
Phone: call 1800 059 077 (Mon–Fri 10:00am–7:00pm AEST) and we’ll set it up for you.

How often am I charged?

For existing Paw Club members, monthly charges occur on the 10th of the month. New members will be charged on their join “anniversary” date. Each successful charge issues entries into the next eligible draw(s).

How do I update my subscription amount or payment details?

Log in to your online account by clicking on Login and entering your email address and password.
Click on Paw Club under ‘Quick Links’.
Click on ‘Manage’ near your ticket book.
Select ‘Ticket settings’ under Manage Subscription.
Select a new monthly amount — this will be updated automatically.
If you would prefer, please email support@goldenpawslottery.com.au. and we’ll make the change for you.

Can I cancel or pause my membership?

Yes, you can cancel or pause anytime. Email us at support@goldenpawslottery.com.au.

Can I change my billing frequency from monthly?

No. The Paw Club is a monthly subscription. You can change your ticket amount or cancel anytime.

What if my payment fails?

We’ll retry your card and may contact you to update details. If payment is received after a draw closes, your entries move to the next available draw unless you request a refund.

Check Junk/Spam, then search for goldenpawslottery@guidedogsqld.com.au. Still missing? Contact our friendly Customer Support team at support@goldenpawslottery.com.au. and we’ll resend your ticket.
